Here is our basic fly and drive itinerary to which you can easily add the extensions of your choice. A most exhilarating trip during which you’ll discover what western Canada has best to offer: Thrilling urban centers, stylish capitals and of course, some of the most beautiful parks of the Rockies! Upon arrival at the hotel on day one, you’ll find your personalized Globe-Trotter roadbook at the front desk. This very complete package of travelling literature includes: the relevant road maps, a copy of your detailed itinerary, some useful travelling tips, the vouchers, the relevant travelling guides, a 24h/7d toll free emergency number as well as a few surprises !
Day 1 – Calgary
Pick up your vehicle and discover Calgary, a burgeoning Olympic city!
Day 2 – Calgary / Banff (129 km)
The drive leads you towards the Rocky Mountains where you will explore legendary Banff National park. You will also have the opportunity to admire Lake Louise and Moraine or to make an excursion to Johnston Canyon. A ride along the Icefield Parkway is recommended as well.

Day 3 - Banff / Jasper (288 km)
The drive now leads you towards famous jasper National Park. Among other things, you will then have the opportunity to make fabulous hikes in the Maligne Lake area. (Breakfast)
Day 4 – Jasper / Kamloops (444 km)
Spectacular scenic drive between Jasper and Kamloops. The itinerary indeed features several passages that you will all want to captured on film!
Day 5 – Kamloops / Whistler (300 Km)
Continue on towards Whistler, the famous winter sport station which will host the Olympic ski competitions in 2010.
Day 6 – Whistler / Victoria (190 km+ferry)
Once on Vancouver Island, you might want to visit famous Butchart Gardens before continuing to Victoria. Along Marine Scenic Drive you reach the charming capital of British Columbia. A whale-watching tour (OPTIONAL) to see killer whales off the coast of Victoria is recommended as well.
Day 7 – Victoria / Vancouver (65 km+ferry)
Back on the mainland, continue on towards thrilling Vancouver! Its outstanding location between mountains and ocean definitely makes this city one of the most beautiful in the world. Discover its main attractions and let yourself immersed by its relaxed west-coast atmosphere. We particularly suggest the visit of the aquarium, of the anthropology museum, of Stanley Park, of Chinatown and of Gastown historical district. If after all that you are still in the mood for some action, be aware that Vancouver is also well known for its wild nights!

| TIP: Please note that these prices include a pick up directly at the airport. Considering how expensive taxi transfer can be and the fact that you'll only have to park your vehicle in downtown (city centre) the first night, we truly belive that it's the easiest way to proceed. If for whatever reason you would like to proceed otherwise by rather piking-up the car in a downtown location on day 2, we'd be more than happy to quote it for you.

Your car rental with Globe-Trotter includes: Unlimited mileage in Canada and the USA, excluding the Whitehorse (200 km per day) and Jasper (100 km per day) locations, LDW insurance for the 25 years old and more (between 21 and 24, some fees apply), 1 million$ third party liability insurance, 24h/7d emergency service, a wide network of locations throughout Canada, several opportunities to return the vehicle in a different location than the one where it was picked up, airport pick up or drop off fees and taxes, car registration and the applicable taxes |
