| We created this tour to give you the opportunity to discover the wild beauties and the cultural richness of what was once known as Upper and Lower Canada. You hesitate between Quebec and Ontario? Why don’t you simply choose the best of both worlds? Animated cities loaded with history , natural wonders such as Niagara Falls and the Percé Rock, a rich cultural heritage, etc. Here is an itinerary for those who don’t want to miss anything! |

Upon arrival at the hotel on day one, you’ll find your personalized Globe-Trotter roadbook at the front desk. This very complete package of travelling literature includes: the relevant road maps, a copy of your detailed itinerary, some useful travelling tips, the vouchers, the relevant travelling guides, a 24h/7d toll free emergency number as well as a few surprises !
Days 1 and 2 – Toronto
Pick-up your your vehicle and rendezvous in Canada’s financial metropolis. The “Queen City” has a lot to offer. Stroll along its seemingly never ending streets, discover its amazing museums and take part to some of its many cultural and sporting events. You will also have the time to make a visit to Niagara Falls.
Day 3 – Toronto / Ottawa (460 km)
Discover Ottawa’s main attractions: the parliament, the Rideau Canal, the public market, and above all, the rich museums.
Day 4 – Ottawa / Laurentides (152 km)
Continue on towards the Laurentian Mountains.
Day 5 – Laurentides / Mauricie (215 km)
Welcome to the Raftmen Country! This is a wonderful place to truly experience the Canadian forest! The Mauricie region offers you the richness of its natural and cultural heritage.
Day 6 – Mauricie / Lac-St-Jean (279 km)
To reach Quebec’s “inland sea”, you will drive along the scenic St-Maurice Valley road. With its 210 Km of shores and its many sandy beaches, the lake is an ideal place for nautical activities or for a lovely cruise. Take also the time to visit its main attractions: the Val-Jalbert Ghost Town, St-Félicien Zoo, Normandins Grands Jardins, etc. (Breakfast included)
Day 7 – Lac-St-Jean / Saguenay (130 km)
The drive now leads you to the Saguenay Fjord area.
Day 8 – Saguenay / Tadoussac (125 km)
The fjord features a rugged coastline sprinkled with quaint villages and belvederes offering breathtaking views. The estuary is also famous for whale watching.
Day 9 – Tadoussac / Matane (200 km+ferry)
The ferry will take you to the Gaspé Peninsula.
Days 10 and 11 – Matane / Percé (393 km)
A wonderful scenic drive along the Gaspesie rocky coast will lead you to Percé, a charming town located near the legendary rock. It’s also an excellent starting point for an excursion in the birdwatchers paradise that is the Bonaventure Island.
Day 12 – Percé / Carleton (225 km)
Continue on towards the Baie des Chaleurs.
Day 13 – Carleton / Rivière-du-Loup (370 km)
Heading towards the Bas-St-Laurent area, you’ll then drive across the spectacular Matapedia Valley. Don’t miss the Ristigouche Battle Historical Site in Pointe-à-la-Croix, and Miguasha Park whose fossiliferous cliff is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Days 14 and 15 – Rivière-du-Loup / Quebec City (188 km)
Your destination: Beautiful Quebec City! Rich in culture, history and beauty, Quebec City has the appearance and the atmosphere of an old-world town.
Day 16 – Quebec City / Montreal (260 km)
Second French speaking city in the world after Paris, Montreal combines old world influences with North American modernity in a very unique way.
Day 17 – Montreal / Kingston (287 km)
The drive leads you to beautiful Kingston, the gate to the Thousand Islands. (Breakfast included)
