Here’s a driving vacation that combines luxury to the discovery of Atlantic Canada’s pearls. Indeed, we selected for you the most famous lodges where you’ll be able to fully take advantage of the Atlantic provinces treasures while enjoying fine dining experiences and a very high level of comfort and services. The holiday of your dreams!




Upon arrival at the hotel on day one, you’ll find your personalized Globe-Trotter roadbook at the front desk. This very complete package of travelling literature includes: the relevant road maps, a copy of your detailed itinerary, some useful travelling tips, the vouchers, the relevant travelling guides, a 24h/7d toll free emergency number as well as a few surprises !

Day 1 – Halifax
Pick-up your vehicle. discover the thrilling region of Halifax and its surroundings.

Days 2 and 3 – Halifax / Liscomb Mills (176 km)
Today you will drive the scenic east coast Marine Road towards the famous Liscombe Lodge. Nestled on the shore of a magnificent river and surrounded by the evergreens, this is a true paradise for the nature enthusiasts. (Breakfast included on day 3)

Days 4 and 5 – Liscomb Mills / Ingonish Beach (295 km)
Discover the picturesque Ingonish area and admire fabulous seascapes while driving along the famous Cabot Trail. Overlooking a steep cliff, the Keltic Lodge offers a breathtaking view of the surroundings. The ideal place to explore the marvels of the Middle Head Trail. (Breakfast included on day 4)

Day 6 – Ingonish Beach / Baddeck (91 km)
Located on the shores of the Bras d’Or Lake, this beautiful quaint town definitely worth a visit!

Day 7 – Baddeck / Charlottetown (483 km+ferry)
The Pictou ferry will take you to Prince Edward island. Let yourself be charmed by the Victorian charm of its peaceful capital.

Day 8 – Charlottetown / Summerside (62 km)
The smallest Canadian province offers you the charm of its hilly shores sprinkled with quaint fishermen villages and some magnificent lighthouses. The island is also well known for its sandy beaches.

Day 9 – Summerside / Moncton (139 km)
After driving across the spectacular Confederation Bridge, you will continue on to the “Acadian Capital”. We highly recommend a visit of the Shediac village.

Day 10 – Moncton / St-John (154 km)
Continue on towards the charming city of St-John. The place recalls the old cities of Great-Britain.

Days 11 and 12 – St-John /St-Andrews-by-the-Sea (107 km)

The journey now takes you to Saint-Andrews, a famous resort founded by the Loyalists. You will then stay at the Algonquin Fairmont, a century old property which blends old world charm with modern luxury. On day 12, enjoy a whale watching cruise.

Days 13 and 14 – St-Andrews-by-the-Sea / Digby (107 km+ferry)
From St-John, the ferry will take you back to Nova Scotia where you will have the privilege to stay at the Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa, an elegant property overlooking the Bay of Fundy and the charming town of Digby. (Breakfast included on day 14)

Day 15 – Digby / Halifax (228 km)

Back in Halifax, enjoy the animation of this pleasant harbour city. (Breakfast included)

From Digby (day 15), here are a few optional short stays that you could easily add to your package. Please refer to their duration in order to determine the number of nights each of these trips will add to the original route.

However, please note that, upon request, we can also offer most of our itineraries with economic, superior, high-end, B&B and chalet accommodation. TIP: Please note that these prices include a pick up directly at the airport. Considering how expensive taxi transfer can be and the fact that you'll only have to park your vehicle in downtown (city centre) the first night, we truly belive that it's the easiest way to proceed. If for whatever reason you would like to proceed otherwise by rather piking-up the car in a downtown location on day 2, we'd be more than happy to quote it for you.
