You’ll indeed have the best seats to observe, while being accompanied by naturalist guides, the cariboos, the moose, the whales, the bears, etc… while take fully advantage of the Canadian wide open spaces. |

Upon arrival at the hotel on day one, you’ll find your personalized Globe-Trotter roadbook at the front desk. This very complete package of travelling literature includes: the relevant road maps, a copy of your detailed itinerary, some useful travelling tips, the vouchers, the relevant travelling guides, a 24h/7d toll free emergency number as well as a few surprises !
Day 1 – Montreal
Pick-up your vehicle and rendez-vous in the thrilling and appealing city of Montreal. Second French speaking city in the world after Paris, Montreal combines old world influences with North American modernity in a very unique way. Let yourself be charmed by the romantics streets of Old Montreal and conquer its exhilarating nights!
Day 2 – Montreal / St-Alexis-des-Monts (133 km)
It’s now time to leave the big city behind and to head towards the fabulous wilderness of the Mauricie region, the land of the raftmen and the lumberjacks! You’ll then stay in a magnificent log-made lodge which offer a fantastic view over the Saint- Maurice River Valley. It is also the perfect starting point to explore the wild terrotories of the Mauricie National Park and of the Saint-Maurice Wildlife Reserve. Keep your eyes open because it is not uncomon to see moose drinking on the shores of the countless lakes and rivers this fabulous region features! (Breakfast and Dinner included)
Days 3 and 4 - St-Alexis-des-Monts / St-Félicien (382 Km)
Today you’ll drive along the St- Maurice River panoramic road, which runs through the heart of the Laurentian Mountains up to Lac-St- Jean, Quebec's inland sea. With its 210 Km of shores and its many sandy beaches, the lake is an ideal place for nautical activities or for a lovely cruise. Take also the time to meet with its attaching inhabitants known as “les bleuets”. After a night at the hotel, you will be invited for an amazing visit at the famous Saint-Félicien Wildlife Zoo where you will be in position to safely observe wild animals in their natural habitats. You’ll actually have the opportunity to camp in an area frequented by the cariboos (for more details, please see the Adventure in Cariboo’s land). (Lunch and Dinner included on day 4)
Days 5 and 6 – St-Félicien / Tadoussac (259 km)
You’ll now drive along the largest inland fjord in the world before reaching the North Shore region, the whale kingdom! On day 6, onboard a fast zodiac boat, you’ll then have the priviliege to observe the sea mammals from very close during a whale watch cruise. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Tadoussac Sea Mammals Interpretation Centre. A must see on the whale route. (Breakfast and Lunch included on day 5) (Breakfast included on day 6)
Day 7 – Tadoussac / Baie-Comeau (198 km)
Continue on along tha majestic Saint Lawrence River up to Baie-Comeau. (Breakfast included)
Days 8 and 9 – Baie-Comeau / Matane Wildlife Reserve (47 Km+ferry)
A ferry will now take you to the Gaspé Peninsula where the largest concentration of moose in Quebec is
to be found. This beast, whose weight can reach more than 800 kg, is certainly one of the most impressive to watch. Accompanied by a naturalist guide you’ll explore mud flats, moose yards, lakes nd peat bogs frequented by moose (for more details, please see the King of the Canadian Forest)

Day 10 – Matane Wildlife Reserve / Rivière-du-Loup (210 Km)
On your way to Rivière-du-Loup, you will have the opportunity to make a visit to the Bic National Park which proudly showcases its capes, bays, coves, islands, and mountains. You’ll then stay in a magnificent country inn renowned for its fine cuisine as well as for the beauty of its vivinities.
Day 11 – Rivière-du-Loup /Laurentians Wildlife Reserve (270 Km)
Continue on to the « Portes-del’Enfer » section of the Laurentians Wildlife Reserve where, accompanied
by a naturalist guide, you’ll observe the black bear in its natural habitat (for more details, please see the Quebec’s Back Country Marvels).

Days 12 and 13 – Laurentians Wildlife Reserve / Quebec City (80 Km)
Rich in culture, history and beauty, the Quebec City has the appearance
and the atmosphere of an old-world town. Indeed, its old section has kept its historic character and a “Vieille France” charm. Moreover, the surrounding areas offer delightful landscapes. (Breakfast and Lunch on day 12)
Day 14 – Quebec City /Montreal (260 km)
Some more time to visit Montreal before leaving your vehicle at the airport.

Considering how expensive taxi transfer can be and the fact that you'll only have to park your vehicle in downtown the first night, we truly belive that it's the easiest way to proceed. If for whatever reason you would like to proceed otherwise by rather picking-up the car in a downtown location on day
2, we'd be more than happy to quote it for you.
