Here’s the opportunity to discover the pearls of Nova Scotia. After a stay in a renowned east coast lodge, you’ll drive towards the legendary Cape Breton Island whose spectacular sceneries will leave you speechless. Among other things, you’ll be in position to drive along the famous Cabot Trail, an engineering masterpiece where each turn becomes an excuse to stop for a picture! The Highland National Park is also a true paradise for the hikers or for those who simply want to relax in an outstanding natural setting.




Upon arrival at the hotel on day one, you’ll find your personalized Globe-Trotter roadbook at the front desk. This very complete package of travelling literature includes: the relevant road maps, a copy of your detailed itinerary, some useful travelling tips, the vouchers, the relevant travelling guides, a 24h/7d toll free emergency number as well as a few surprises !

Day 1– Halifax
Pick-up your vehicle. discover the thrilling region of Halifax and its surroundings.

Day 2 – Halifax / Liscomb Mills (148 km)
Today you will drive the scenic east coast Marine Road towardsthe famous Liscombe Lodge. Nestled on the shore of a magnificent river and surrounded by the evergreens, this is a true paradise for the nature enthusiasts.

Day 3 – Liscomb Mills / Baddeck (221 Km)
Come discover Cape BretonIsland’s rugged splendour at your own pace! You’ll then have the opportunity to explore its spectacular rocky coast as well as the mountains, the valleys and the lakes of its interior. Furthermore, as you’ll be in position to appreciate, the island offers more than natural beauties. The numerous historical sites indeed testify of a long and captivating human history encompassing the Native people, the French, the British, and of course the Scottish. You’ll then stay in Baddeck. Located on the shores of the Bras d’Or Lake, this beautiful and quaint town definitely worth a visit! (Breakfast included)

Day 4 and 5 – Baddeck / Ingonish (85 km)
Discover beautiful Ingonish and witness dramatic scenery along the famous Cabot Trail. Boldly nestled on a cliff and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, The Keltic Lodge offers breathtaking views as well as a high level of comfort and a fine dining experience.

Day 6 – Ingonish / Sydney (142 km)
Before leaving Cape Breton Island, we suggest strongly that you visit the exceptional Louisbourg fortress. The “New World Gibraltar” will literally take you back to the New France era!

Day 7 - Sydney / West Bay (148 Km)
On your way back to Halifax, continue the visit of Cape Breton Island. Overnight in West Bay. (Breakfast included)

Day 8 – West Bay / Halifax (331 km)
Back in Halifax. Continue your visit of this charming harbour city. Moreover, Halifax offers you the relaxed and joyful atmosphere of its many pubs and of its animated streets featuring magnificent Georgian houses.

Day 9 – Halifax

Visit of the Alexander Keith’s brewery in Halifax before your departure to the airport. Drop-off your vehicle.

From Halifax (day 9), here are a few optional short stays that you could easily add to your package. Please refer to their duration in order to determine the number of nights each of these trips will add to the original route.

TIP: Please note that these prices include a pick up directly at the airport. Considering how expensive taxi transfer can be and the fact that you'll only have to park your vehicle in downtown (city centre) the first night, we truly belive that it's the easiest way to proceed. If for whatever reason you would like to proceed otherwise by rather piking-up the car in a downtown location on day 2, we'd be more than happy to quote it for you.
